This one-day programme draws on the latest thinking within the field of organisational coaching and applies an analytical approach to help you identify the challenges and opportunities of moving towards a coaching culture.
Future proofing your organisation
We will help you to identify how you can get the greatest return from your coaching investment and to think about how coaching connects to your business strategy and organisational change agenda. We will help to “future proof” your organisation and ensure that your people capability is aligned with your business growth aspirations. We will also challenge you to pressure test that you are really up for it!
Your experience
The day is a highly interactive team coaching session, usually facilitated by two of our Post Graduate qualified coaches, and culminates in the production of a detailed action plan for your organisation.
The programme is tailor-made to ensure that it fits with your own organisation’s values and goals. We will work with you to identify attendees for the day and will actively encourage you to invite key stakeholders to ensure that the vision is co-created from the outset. We will also work with you to design pre-work to ensure that we maximise our time together.
Team coaching approach
Our experienced coaches will utilise a team coaching approach to ensure that all attendees are engaged and actively contributing to the thinking. This results in an outcome that is “greater than the sum of its parts” and has the added benefit of ensuring early “buy-in”.
Pre-work
Having agreed programme objectives and attendees, we will work with you to design preparatory exercises to ensure that all attendees are “on the same page” and that we maximise our time together. This could be extended to include the application of psychological profiling tools e.g. MBTI / EQ-i 2.0/360, as well as stakeholder interviews.
Creating the vision
One of the first interactive elements of the session will be an opportunity to work with your colleagues and key stakeholders to co-create what a coaching culture would look like for your organisation. We will encourage you to get in the mind-set of your internal and external customers and to ask “what will be different?” “What will it feel like?” “What will people say and do differently?”
Coaching culture framework
We will share with you some latest thinking from organisational coaching around the key steps to creating a coaching culture. We will facilitate a team coaching exercise during which you’ll get the opportunity to explore where your organisation sits against this framework and to scope out opportunity for growth.
Supportive challenge
True to our values, we will offer plenty of challenge. The creation of a coaching culture is a long-term commitment and we test whether you are really up for it!
Designing interventions
Using your business strategy and organisational structure we will support you in identifying internal and external coaching interventions to ensure the greatest return from your available budget.
Action plan and next steps
We commit to supporting you in the production of a realistic action plan for your organisation. We will help you to explore support and resources needed to deliver against the plan and to think about critical next steps.
We will work with you to identify what this could mean for your organisation, as all organisations are unique. Typically it will involve the presence of some, or all, of the following:
This programme works really well when it is carried out as a “diagnostic” at the beginning of your coaching journey to help you identify the most effective coaching interventions for your organisation and to ensure that the relevant “conditions” are in place to ensure the maximum return from your coaching investment. However, it works equally well as a “review & refine” activity wherever you are on your coaching journey.
