My story

Having had over a decade of experience at senior leadership level in the education, not-for-profit and public sectors I recognise that change is the only constant. In an ever-changing world of government funding, payment by results contracts and national targets the biggest asset most organisations have is their people – investing in them is essential for survival, let alone sustainable growth. My background in winning and leading multi-million pound government contracts, change management and quality improvement gives me a clear understanding of the issues faced by senior leaders across these and other sectors and I know from experience how important authentic leadership is to company culture and ambition.

My belief in the power of coaching comes from personal experience. As a Director for a skills and employment social enterprise with a multi-million pound turnover my professional life has been built on the core demands of agility, resilience, and the ability to lead others through change. By working with an executive coach I was able to channel my energies to make maximum use of my strengths, increase my personal resilience and harness and develop my emotional intelligence to lead others to be the best they can be. The impact on both myself personally and the bottom line of the business was huge and I immediately wanted to work with other executives so they too could realise their full leadership potential.

Having developed a passion for coaching I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching and now work with senior executives and leadership teams across both the public and private sectors. I am also widely experienced in Executive Team Coaching, using behaviour analysis and other tools to help teams to achieve synergy and therefore drive increased performance across the business. Coaching senior individuals and teams to grow in confidence and impact is immensely rewarding as the ripple effect can be seen throughout the organisation – who doesn’t feel motivated and committed when working for a great leader?

I have worked with senior leaders and their teams from Futures Advice, Skills and Employment, Lincolnshire Wolds Federation of Schools, The Ministry of Justice and The Department of Education to name a few.

My coaching style is energising, thought-provoking and based on clear goals. I encourage deep reflection through creative exercises and challenging questioning, always recognising that you have the potential within you to inspire, motivate and lead through being authentic to your values and aware of your personal impact. Drawing on positive psychology and using a strengths-based approach I will work on tackling unhelpful behaviours and beliefs, leading to a deeper understanding of your true leadership potential and the motivation to achieve it.

My qualifications to work with you

I hold post-graduate qualifications in Education and Coaching, along with a professional qualification in careers guidance. I am an MBTI and EQi2.0/360 practitioner, as well as a trained Team Coach and hold PCC status from the International Coaching Federation. My passion for learning and personal growth means I am committed to my continued professional development, both through regular Coaching Supervision and learning new and innovative coaching tools and approaches.
