Louise Otton, Associate Coach
BSc (Hons), PG Cert (Coaching), ICF ACC
Having spent over 15 year working in marketing and communications at global investment banks and management consultancies including, Deutsche Bank, Oliver Wyman, Ernst & Young and Capco, I bring a wealth of experience from working with executives, senior leadership teams and their clients across multiple business lines, managing complex projects and navigating organisational change. Whilst working in the corporate sector I was fortunate to have experience first-hand the power of great coaching in enabling people to make amazing changes in surprisingly little time, as a result I thrive on being able to help others in the same way.
As an Executive Coach I am energised by helping ambitious professionals and business owners optimise their own and their team’s leadership, performance, impact and resilience by helping them raise their levels of self-awareness, understanding their full potential, finding calm in the chaos, and achieving their optimum goals. I have a particular passion for working with clients to build their resilience and mental toughness by looking at both their mental and physical wellness, understanding how they cope and adapt to change and challenge, in order to perform at their best whilst also balancing their own health and relationships.
I also bring real life experience from overcoming a chronic illness, becoming a mother, being made redundant and starting my own business. Throughout my career, I have invested heavily in my own personal and professional development through coaching to grow my own self-awareness, success mindset, leadership skills and resilience and I know how powerful coaching can be in enabling and sustaining behaviour change.
As a coach I draw on a wealth of experience from working in large corporate environments with senior executives, overcoming a chronic illness, maternity leave, becoming a mother, and starting again with a new career and setting up my own business. Through listening, asking insightful questions, being a thinking partner, positive psychology, coaching tools, NLP, psychometrics and self-reflection, I inspire you to find fresh perspectives, unlock your blockers to growth, identify your solutions and commitment to action.
I joined Matthew Radley as an Associate Executive Coach in 2019 and have focused on delivering the 1:1 Executive Coaching and the EMMC accredited ‘Coaching with Confidence’ Coach Skills Programme. More recently, I have co-developed the MRA Executive and Team Resilience Coaching Programme with Matthew, which we have been delivering to a large number of global teams, supporting them at both an individual and organisational level to build their resilience. This was developed from a place of passion and real-life experience from having to learn how important it is to pay attention to my mental and physical wellbeing whilst recovering from ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
I work with clients to raise their levels of self-awareness, build their emotional intelligence, confidence, strength and resilience to help them think, feel and be more impactful and live a balanced life.
My approach as a coach is that I bring a sense of calm, creating a safe thinking space, whilst also supporting and challenging clients to get the results they want, whilst always remaining professional and approachable. I engage, encourage and empower my clients to move towards their objectives and full potential by exploring their core values, beliefs and challenging limiting assumptions. This is underpinned by my interest in the psychology of human behaviour, positive psychology, neuroscience and mindfulness.
I am fully committed and connected to delivering our brand values:
I hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Business and Personal Coaching with the University of Chester and am a member of the International Coaching Federation and the National Council of Psychotherapy. I also hold MBTI and EQi-2/EQi 360 qualified practitioner status and am committed to regular CPD and Coaching Supervision. I am also Mental Health First Aid qualified, which enables me to signpost clients who may need additional help in supporting their mental wellbeing.
I also have a degree with a psychology background and since becoming a coach it has re-ignited my passion to delve deeper into the psychological theories that are vital in understanding how and why people choose to behave in the way they do. By applying this knowledge, I help clients become more self-aware in their ability to adapt and cope to change.
My professional experience includes working in the corporate sector in large global investment backs and management consultancies and I have a track record of coaching senior leaders, business owners and teams across a range of sectors including finance, technology, law, media, charity and utilities, both in person and virtually.
